“Best” Wildlife Management Consultants offer a
comprehensive variety of services to all parties interested in livestock and
wildlife management, from inceptive plans to harvest or sale. Following, are the
primary service categories offered, together with the associated fee schedules.
If your needs do not fall into one of these categories, please call to discuss
your specific needs and objectives.
Appraisals: Our appraisal service is aimed at
establishing the value of the wildlife resources on any given property and,
covers a broad scope of activities. Such evaluations become important factors in
real estate transactions, estate planning, hunting lease negotiations, taxes,
livestock purchases and sales, inventory surveys and the like. Accurate
appraisals often reveal significant information in relationship to the overall
well being of wildlife and livestock populations, their management and, the
health of their environment. In combination with known objectives, appraisals
may help isolate problem areas in which modifications to management practices
offer solutions.
Fees: Fees are based on a One Hundred Dollar
($100.00) per hour rate, with a minimum retainer in the amount of One
Thousand Dollars, plus all expenses. Included in this price structure, is
assistance in establishing appraisal objectives, research available information
associated with the specific appraisal requirements, compile data, effect the
actual appraisal and, finally furnish a comprehensive written report to satisfy
stated objectives. Expenses normally include such things as travel and
transportation, aerial survey cost if applicable, meal and lodging associated
with travel, map, cartographic and photographic costs, and any other fees or
monetary. incurrences associated with completing the appraisal.
Brokerage Services: Essentially this service matches
buyer to seller or lessee to lessor. Be it livestock, hunting leases, guide
services, or other wildlife-related activities we are in a position to put
parties together. Successful brokering is the direct result of a vast database
accumulated over many years of association in the wildlife industry combined
with accurate assessments of client needs. For example, we assist and advise our
clients with buying and selling livestock, ensuring both parties receive a fair
value. Whatever the products or services, we also assist in negotiating formal
agreements and contracts. This is a very valuable service and assures all
parties maximum benefit to their part. Years of experience support the
cost-effective nature of our brokerage service.
Fees: Our standard brokerage commission or premium is
based on Ten Percent (10%) of transaction value. Depending on the nature
of each transaction, the commission or premium consideration may vary from as
Six Percent (6%) to in excess of Twenty Percent (20%). Please contact
us for further and specific details.
Management Consulting: This is our forte and, from
this service maximum benefit to Owner/Operator, Livestock, Wildlife and,
Environment may be derived. Under most circumstances these consultations are
ongoing and require carefully defined objectives together with long term
commitments by all parties concerned. Whether a project is in the planning
stages or already mature, this service can help “fine tune” your effort, by
avoiding and eliminating costly mistakes as well as promoting existing
successful management practices. Through education, assessment, monitoring and,
action over time this partnership will realize your project’s objectives. The
comprehensive nature of management consulting may encompass all the services
offered herein.
Fees: Fees are based on a One Hundred Dollar
($100.00) per hour rate with a minimum retainer of Two Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($2,500.00), plus any and all expenses associated with the
consultation. Essential to the process is an initial proposal, based on
identified objectives set forth by the owner/operators. Further, is the
subsequent refinement of specific objectives, which are all directed towards the
ultimate success of the project via: collection, assimilation, of historical
data relating to the properties(s) involved; physical plant development; species
and numbers of livestock to be maintained; supplemental nutrition; herd
health practices; marketing suggestion and; other considerations associated with
the specific project.
Referral Services: We are in a position to recommend
individuals and/or companies whose services or products we believe are superior
to those of others, such as fence builders, professional hunters, trappers,
earth movers and the like. This service is normally associated with a Management
Consultation and, as such the associated fees are in included therein.
Individuals wanting both referral and management services for a project may do
so for a fee. In order to make these referrals, negotiate agreements, execute
contracts and, otherwise act on behalf of the owner/operator a Fee in the
amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the final negotiated price is charged to
the owner/operator at the time the agreements and/or contracts are enforce.
Employee/Employer Placement Service: We maintain an
updated file for employees and employers, to assist in the placement of
individuals in wildlife related fields. As we are often familiar with the
parties involved and can successfully put the two together. Knowing the
management objectives helps us place a suitable person(s) for the specific task
at hand and assist with negotiations between parties. Our Fee for this
service is the equivalent of the first two (2) months pay per individual placed.
This expense may be shared by the parties involved or may be borne by one party
or the other as agreed. In either case, payment becomes due and payable to
“Best” Wildlife Management Consultants on the date of hire.

local or is required by owner/managers. Examples of this are EIA testing for
Zebra and other equines or TB and Brucellosis testing for all cervids
and bovids. Additional specific pathogen testing may be accomplished
at this time, as well, to establish Specific Pathogen Free (SPF)
status. In some cases livestock will be held for short periods of time

owner operator.

large quantities of certain health care products be dispensed according to
veterinary recommendations, it is critical that these products be stored and
dispensed according to labeling instructions. Dispensing and payment for
these products will be handled in the same manner as other drugs and
supplies.
